old vs new type hook

I rather liked the racket style hooks (that we misplaced along the way).

I’m sure the friction secure style will be fine. Of the long and short pair we acquired the Long is not as long as the previous style. It will probably work fine.
Our fault to loose the original pair.

Frame hooks

Square tubing frame hooks (long and short) purchased after a friend gave me his used platform rack. After a short time (1 month), the hooks work as intended. Will be interested to see how long the tightening knobs work considering plastic construction and being in the sun/rain/hot/cold for a couple of seasons. So far I am satisfied.

Friction fit short hook.

My first short hook finally wore out. The new hook fit great. I have been very happy with my bike rack - simple to use, relatively compact, and not too heavy. It is a great product.
