Sport Rider SE2 Hitch Bike Rack

Excellent rack. Holds my long wheel-based recumbent nicely with add on tubes.

Strong bike rack love that I can fit 4 bikes if needed or reduce the rack down to two

The bad news is, after 3 years, it is really spot loose/worn out. The main vertical post pin has a detent so it won’t come out. My hole is so worn out out will work out way out. Seems like it should have lasted longer to me for the money spent.

The good news is they sell the parts for it. I am not sure if it’s worth buying all new parts or just purchase another rack yet.
I have over 5k miles on the bike and I’m sure that the rack has at least double that.

Tip-I never drive with the rack on and folded up (unless not possible). Always unscrew and put out in the back of my pickup so it’s not juggling around causing more wear.

I had to wait a little over a year for this model to become available, and the wait was worth it. The rack is solidly constructed and easy to use. Our bikes are held securely in under a minute and there are enough locks securing both the rack and the bikes to allow us to stop off on the way home to grab a few drinks.

Good value. Very strong & easy to use.

From the moment I started researching bike racks, I was highly impressed. I'll let you know that I saw one on the back of a van and talked to the owner. She had nothing but great things to say. She should have been a salesperson for this company.

I had to wait awhile to get the rack I wanted, but I completely understand the high demand in a year when most people can't travel the way they usually would. Offering a wait list worked out great so I didn't have to keep going back and checking for availability.

When I received the email that my rack was in stock, I jumped on the order immediately. Within minutes, I got a call from Rick, confirming some information and verifying that my order was going out ASAP.

I received the box within days. The instructions where easy to follow.

I had a part that was flawed, so I called to see about getting a replacement. Rick answered the phone and had my part shipped out that same day.

I am a retired business owner and I am pleased to recommend this company for its quality customer service and for my well-built and sturdy new bike rack.

I’m enjoying my Sport Rider SE2. It replaces an old Trailrider. the SE2 loads easier because of the tilt away feature. The locks on the hooks are convenient. It folds up against the back of the car helping it stay out of harms way. Very simple to actuate tilt and fold up with spring loaded buttons. The SE2 attaches to the receiver with an ingenious system similar to an old style bicycle quill stem.

I do have a couple of concerns. The rack still has to be locked via the old style locking hitch pin. The bicycles jiggle a little more than the Trailrider. My main issue though is the rack mounts lower than the Trailrider making it a dragging hazard on driveways etc.

The pro’s out weigh the con’s so this rack gets four stars.

Great bike rack…easy to install and put together. Took me a little playing with get it set up properly for our 2 bikes..but once done should be good to go. Well constructed and solid. Company was very good to deal with…great packing…highly recommend.

I bought mine when I picked up my new Aventon Level. The quality is good and I like the design. I have a Ford Flex with the factory trailer towing package. This rack is manageable to install or remove from the hitch at the lower height of a CUV. Final judgement of its capabilites will be seen after a 1300 mile trip that we will take next month with two bikes. I wonder why the prices vary so much between different sources.

I've assembled, installed, used and generally like this product. Solid design. Only complaint would be a little heavy for single person to install remove but I can do (165 lb healthy male).

Good quality and nice features like tilting back so you can open back door and an option to hook up another rack. Awesome customer service too because when I messed up my hitch tightening knob when I went off-road and hit a rock.. they sent me a replacement part at no charge. The whole process was super easy.

DEFINITE UPGRADE IN QUALITY/INSTRUCTIONS/IMPROVEMENTS AS COMPARED TO MY OLDER MODEL

This rack is very nice. It is secure and strong and supports my heavy Day6 Bicycles with Mid-Drive motors well. The feature to tighten and lock is excellent. It however is a bit pricey.
