Trike Adapter Kit for Sport Rider for Electric Bikes

I purchased a conventional Hollywood rack two years ago, and my wife decided she wanted a trike. I purchased the trike adapter and it was easy to add it to my rack.
I do recommend to put the rack on a portable workbench to make it easier to add on the Trike adapter
It does make it so large and somewhat
awkward to handle that it takes 2 to install on my truck.

I was quite impressed with the heft and engineering of the trike adapter, assembly was easy and I was able to fit my (non electric) tadpole trike easily. The overall assembly looks to be quite heavy, so I ordered the rack valet. Probably a positive decision. It looks like separating the trike adapter from the base rack is a single bolt, so if needed I can break down for handling. Good work with the design and execution.

Bought one along with the sport rack not knowing how rugged they would be. I am super happy being a guy that tends to over build things when I make them. Only thing I would advise a buyer is remember how wide your trike is the rack and trike sit off the rear of your car or truck a bit. You’ll take up two parking spots. I bought another wheel holder so I don’t have to use one off my regular rack, I can just put the trike extension on and it’s ready to go in a minute.

Worked perfectly

This rack was easy to add to the Hollywood 1500 and is fully adjustable to probably hold any trike on the market. After an easy assembly - best done with the rack on the vehicle - simple adjustments were made and my TerraTrike Rambler with the 24 inch wheels fit perfectly. The trikes 33 inch width was as wide as the rack would go but it fit. I especially like that when I ordered both racks together one key fits all locks on the racks - the 2” auto mount, the single bike hold down bracket and the cable lock for the trike! It also swings down so that I can open the rear door of my SUV and easily swings up vertical when not in use; which one person can do because of its manageable weight.

Just put together the rack and adapter. Now can take our electric trike and electric bike with us in the 2 inch hitch on our truck. So glad we can put both on the rack. We’ll built and solid! Thank you!!

Went together easily, adjusted easily, hope it works from Minnesota to Florida come winter.

The trike adapter is very easy to assemble and attach to my main rack. It hold my wife’s e-trike with no problem and very securely. We’re planning a major trip next summer, 1800 miles and bought the rack so we could bring our bikes. I have no doubt that the rack and trike adapter will do the job with no problem.

I have two electric bikes. One regular and one trike. This rack was exactly what I was looking for. When I wasn’t sure if it would work I called the factory and they walked me through the process. Delivery took about three days.

During Covid, I purchased the HR1500 rack primarily because Hollywood offered a trike adapter (which was on backorder at the time). Months went by, then “backorder” was changed to “discontinued”. I spoke with a Hollywood rep who told me there were design issues with the original adapter. I was so happy to see they finally offered a newly designed trike adapter. It was easy to put together, appears sturdy and looks great. Holds my TerraTrike Traveler and my wife’s e-bike!

Just installed - installation easy - directions clear. Next step is to try it on the road. Wish there was a ramp to aid with loading

We are so happy that Hollywood Racks has the E-Trike add on. The rack was simple to assemble with great well thought out additions. Like cushioned wheel straps and well placed attachments for straps and folds easily when not being used.
We have driven over 400 miles with the bikes on and everything is still tight and works incredibly well for the bikes.
