It arrived promptly, was easy to assemble and works outstandingly. Love the locking mechanism and the tire holders adjust perfectly to accommodate your bikes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a bike carrier. Folds up nice and compact for storage and not that heavy to handle either. Love it and it looks great too! Once you secure your bike it doesn’t move or rattle at all. Bikes load easily on and off. The best rack that I found anywhere.

Easy assembly and quality material

Since the rack arrived I've used it twice and have had no problems. The bike stays securely in the rack with no movement. I'm not crazy about the velcro straps that go around the tires and would prefer some kind of ratcheting strap but they work. I like how the vertical bar can be dropped down to make it super easy to mount or remove the bike on the inside piece.

This is my third Hollywood bike rack, the first I had to assemble. I LOVED my first hitch rack for 15 years, then bought the F2 Over-the-top trunk rack which was also good. This is my third rack which was easy to assemble but I did find a couple discrepancies in the instructions, I was able to figure out looking at the pics on the website. Not sure I like the ratchet frame hooks as I have already pinched myself a couple times. I do like the high quality and durability of Hollywood bike racks that have secured my bikes on a few cross-country trips. I would definitely recommend purchasing a Hollywood bike rack.

It was easy to set up, install, and remove as needed (maybe slightly fiddly). I can do this alone as a small woman. I use it for road and mtb (no e-bikes) and it’s been great.
It was also bumped in a parking lot (slightly bent but usable) and I was rear ended this morning (more bent, may have to replace but car was fine). So if nothing else it will protect your car.

I know too many other bicycle brands racks, but for me is best Secure rack is Hollywood rack. And they make very high-quality product. I appreciate it. Thank you so much. 👍

It was easy to install and is very sturdy.

I have 5 bike racks. One Hollywood for suburban that holds 2 or 4 bike’s it’s awesome.
I have tried several others for the car etc, they didn’t work very well. So I bought a 2 place Hollywood for the car, using the 11/4 inch size for hitch and it works great.
If you carry bikes, and want to cart them safely,
Hollywood is the only way to go.

An affordable hitch rack. I reviewed a couple of YouTube videos before I bought the rack. Installation was quick and easy.

This was the best present for my dad. He loves it and it has had an incredible impact on his lifestyle, routine, and health. The bike rack is super easy to install, strong but light...I highly recommended!

Greetings: I have looked lengthily on bike racks for my sixthreezero zero cruiser bike to take to local trails. I went with the trail rider rack that Looked like it would fit my needs, my handle bars are wide and I was concerned that they might hit the back of my 1997 Chevy blazer. Will this rack is perfect!! I am a tool room machinist of 40 years and feel I know quality when I see it. The rack is well designed and made very good , the steel used to hold the rack in the hitch is solid good grade of Steve with plenty of wall thickness in this square tubing ( very impressed). It had easy instructions to go by to put it together so should not be a problem for anyone. If you are looking to buy a rack this is a fine rack.

Honestly, I know nothing about bike racks. I am 70 years old and have not ridden a bike since high school. I recently bought a new bike and wanted to be able to transport it to places that were too far for me to ride to. I spent several evenings on the internet reading bike rack reviews and ultimately chose the Trail Rider Model HR200Z. The Trail Rider caught my eye for several reasons: good ground clearance, fold-up design, versatile (can be used with 1 1/4" and 2" receiver hitches), predominantly metal construction, spare parts availability, and local manufacturing. When I ultimately received the rack I found it went together easily and the parts were well-finished.

I think there is a glitch in the instructions (Step 4: Installing wheel holders). Procedures "(3)" and "(4)" should be reversed, otherwise you cannot securely mount two bikes with identical wheelbases. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, I too ended up with two extra flat washers...?

The only issue I have with this rack is the wiggle in the vertical central post. The post is designed to fold down, allowing access to the rear of the vehicle. There is a plastic sleeve around the base of the post which allows the post to swivel without binding. The clearance is actually in excess of what is needed. The result is unnecessary bike movement during transport. There is, however, a very simple solution to this problem, one which will not void the warranty. I took a 1 1/4" fender washer 3/64" thick and, using silicone glue, affixed it to the back face of the center post plastic insert slightly above the hinge point. With just a little forward (toward the front of the car) pressure the "L"-shaped lock pin can be inserted, but the wiggle is gone. The washer just acts as a shim to take up excess space. The result is a solid feeling center post and much less bike movement.

This would be a dynamite product if the entire rack tilted, with bikes installed. Also, a weatherproof cover might help save the rubberized portions of the rack. A 14" x 30" nylon drawstring bag (e.g., Coghlan's Stuff Bag no. 8230, available on ebay) will cover much of the rack when in folded position on the car.

As is, I feel this rack is worth the money and should last for years.
