Spare Tire Clearance for Hitch Racks

To determine if your hitch mounted bike rack will clear your externally mounted spare tire, you will need to take the indicated measurements. Tape a weighted Down string, cord or light rope to the face of the pare tire (this is called a “plumb line”). Measure both the A and B distances. Depending on your receiver tube, compare the measurements needed to clear the spare tire. Use measurement A (measuring from the face of the hitch) for the following receiver tubes & models: |
