The First E-Bike Bike Rack of Vinton Virginia

The main Ride Solutions Bike Share rack outside of Roanoke City is in Vinton at the Farmer's Market. Town authorities and Jeremy Holmes from the Ride Solutions program cut the lace toward the beginning of today.

"It really helps bridge a connection to our friends in Roanoke and the Greenway. I think it’s going to be something citizens can use for transportation and recreation, and as I mentioned earlier it adds to the cool factor here in Vinton," said Vinton Mayor Brad Grose.

The Vinton bike rack is the fifteenth since last May under the "Zagster" program. Holmes says two more are coming soon and rental stations in Salem are on the radar screen.
