Is the 66 lbs weight limit a suggestion or a max weight limit?
Do not exceed the strict 66 lbs per bike max weight limit.
Is the bike ramp included in the box or is it sold separately?
The removable and expandable ramp is sold separately. You can find the ramp here
Can I put this bike rack on my RV?
The only RV the CrossTrack is suitable for is a class B motorhome. Shop our RV Bike Rack
Do you need a Bike Adapter for step-through bikes on this bike rack?
No, You would not need a bike adapter for the CrossTrack. It has frameless touch points that hold the bikes from both wheels, eliminating the need for a bike adapter.
Can I use a bike cover?
No! Bike covers add significant drag and stress to the racks components.
Can I swap my 1.25” hitch tube for the 2” No wobble hitch tube?

Can I use this rack on my travel trailer?
No, this rack is not rated for use on a travel trailer
Can I use this rack with my carbon bike?
Yes! This rack holds the bike by the wheels, so it will not make contact with your carbon frame.
Does this rack come with a ramp?
No, the rack does not come with a ramp but it is compatible with a ramp that is sold separately.
Is this rack safe for my carbon wheels?
Yes, this rack is perfectly safe for carbon wheels. The wheel arms only touch the bicycles tires, nothing else on the bike.
Do I have to use the front wheel block?
Yes, the front wheel block stabilizes the bike and prevents it from swaying.
Is the cable integrated with the rack?
No, the cable is separate from the rack. The provided cable can loop through your bike(s) and connect them to the rack. On the 2 bike CrossTracks, there is a hoop on the main arm to put the cable through. On the 1 bike CrossTracks, you can loop the cable though the receiver tube. We also sell wheel locks that can be keyed alike to your rack for extra security (if desired).
Is this an eBike rack?
This is a rack designed to carry bikes under 66lbs - so as long as your bike is under that weight, this rack will carry it.
How can I carry my bike that has fenders?
Unfortunately this rack will not work with bikes with fenders. You can check our bike racks for Bikes with fenders here
Does this rack come with a ramp?
No, it does not come with a ramp but it is ramp compatible. To purchase the ramp, you can find it on our Accessories section of the website.
What wheel sizes can I carry with the CrossTrack?
The CrossTrack can carry bikes with 20” to 29” (or 700c) wheels up to 4” wide.
My bike has fenders, will it work on the CrossTrack?
Maybe - it all depends on how long the fenders are. The front is usually fine - it’s the rear that causes issues. If the fender comes below 3 o’clock (or 9 o’clock, depending on what way you are looking at your bike) then there isn’t enough tire for the wheel support are to press against. If it’s above 3 o’clock, put the wheel spindle as low as you can to get under the fender and then use as instructed.
Can I expand my CrossTrack?
Yes! Our updated CrossTrack can expand from 1-bike to 2 and from 2-bike to 3. You can order the add on kit here
LED Light Compatibility Issues with some vehicles
Some newer vehicles, including the Ford F-150 with a factory-installed tow package, are not compatible with the LED Bar or other LED trailer lighting systems. This is because the vehicle’s tow package or electrical system has been designed to be used with automotive light bulbs. These light bulbs require more electrical current than LED lights. For these vehicles, the LED Bar will either not function at all or function incorrectly. They may also produce a warning light on your dash that one of your light bulbs is out OR cause your turn signals to flash faster than normal. This is because the vehicle “thinks” there is a bulb out due to the low electrical current of the LED.
These vehicles include:
2016-2023 OEM tow package equipped Ford F-Series trucks, sprinter vans,
Expeditions, Excursions, Explorers, Rangers, Broncos, and Mavericks.
Other vehicles include newer Tesla, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Chevrolet, and GMC with OEM tow packages.
For LED Bar users experiencing dashboard warnings or rapidly flashing turn signals, you need to purchase a 4-pin flat to 7-pin round adapter with a built-in electrical resistor. This adapter mimics automotive bulbs' electrical current, potentially resolving compatibility issues. While we cannot guarantee universal compatibility, it has proven effective in most cases.
