Sport Rider SE4 Hitch Bike Rack

Very well designed and robust rack. I traveled with 4 bikes vs. my previous 'hanging' bike design. No scratches or bangs with this one and no 'wiggle' on the hitch.

We bang down a lot of dirt roads to get to those sneaky stashes....Love this rack! Very study!

Sport Rider SE4 Hitch Bike Rack

I got this rack at the beginning of Covid. I have taken it all over Arizona. It is a sturdy rack, great quality and fits my mountain bikes with ease. Customer service has been great. I needed to call about a different product. They were very quick, honest and sincere. I am very impressed with the company and I'm sorry it took me so long to write this review.

I bought this bike rack a couple years ago. I got it mainly to use on our Class A Motor home. It was such a good decision. We have not looked back. I would highly recommend this product. The "No Wobble System" is great. The back of an RV moves around so much I was looking for a wheel support rack with locking arm to help secure the bikes. This is better than any I was able to find and cheaper. I bought the storage cart to store and help transport the rack from the garage to the hitch. It's a pretty heavy rack but it's so easy to remove the plus 2 unit I just remove it and put the base rack in the receiver and add the plus 2. We have used it as a 2 and a 4 bike rack multiple times. We have traveled well over 10,000 miles with this rack and I am very pleased. When I need a replacement I will be getting another one of these. Only problem is the locking cable that came in the kit I purchased is not quite long enough to secure all 4 bikes (wheels and frames on 4 full sized comfort and mountain bikes). Most I can get fully secures is 3. I'm an engineer and this is a well designed unit. Thank You Hollywood Racks.

Got this a few years back - Sport Rider SE-4 and it's still awesome. I got it to haul 2 bikes - my kid and I to local trails. I also got the 2 bike extra adapter on this so we could bring a friend or two. It's performed wonderfully. Versatile for our 50 lb ebikes, mountain bikes, road bikes and BMX because of the adjustability. Takes time to dial it in when changing bikes but it works for all our bikes and does it well. We've driven thousands of miles - Camano Island to Moab twice, Yellowstone, Tetons, etc. Works great. Love the cable lock, velcro for the wheels, and soft touch on the bar hooks.
I like the fact you can take it apart for just 2 bikes and move it around vs a big 90 lb piece. Much more manageable in 2 parts.
I went to buy another for a friend but I see you are all sold out!!! Rats....

Can't go wrong with this rack. First time out was on 800 mile trip. One E-bike, one comfort bike, 2 mountain bikes. Easy enough for kids/young adults to operate as well. Used on a 2017 F250. The easy conversion to two bikes makes this rack an even better purchase. No regrets!

Good solid parts. Nothing looking too fancy but just parts that works as intended. Good customer service and delivery. Seems like a company that cares, I'll be coming back for more. I got a rubber cap that is damaged during transit (cosmetic impact only) and they sent a replacement to me right after they received my email. Spoke with a lady from customer service before I make the purchase, she was very patient and helpful. No regret skipping Thules/Yakima and saving myself $$$ to go with Hollywood.

After buying and immediately returning 2 other racks (Thule and Yakima) I bought the Hollywood SportRider SE4. The ease of setup, ease of use, design and overall functionality of this rack is amazing! Loading the bikes on and securing them was effortless and we immediately had a sense of security of our bikes while driving on long trips. GREAT RACK and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The rack is top notch. Easy installation quick mounting and unmounting of bikes. Folds up really nice when you're not using it. It is heavy, but surprisingly it is actually lighter than the 4x carriers from some of the more expensive brands (I did my research on this one). That, and the fact is made in the USA were huge selling points. I recently lost a small knob on my rack and emailed tech support, within 5 minutes I received a return email asking me what my address was so they could send it out to me the next day. You can't go wrong with buying from Hollywood.

We've travelled about 800 miles with this bike rack these past 2 months on various roads - highway, dirt, gravel - and it's a solid bike rack for 4 bikes. Good design, easy to mount, easy to adjust. We're extremely satisfied. Their customer service is STELLAR. Excellent company. Would highly recommend.

Liking the bike rack so far. Put it together and made the necessary adjustments in about 1 hour. Using it to carry 4 bikes. Seems to be sturdy construction. Loading and unloading the bikes was pretty quick on the first outing. It recommends using an attachable cross bar when carrying ladies bikes but it works fine without one. It is a bit heavy (but manageable) but I guess that goes with it being sturdy enough to carry 4 bikes.

With the grandkids old enough to ride bikes we are once again aboard our two-wheelers. Deciding to travel with the bikes resulted in my getting the loan of a friend’s old hanging rack. The bikes fit, well, sorta, but it was a small ordeal that I developed well enough to do fairly quickly, to get them all (my easy one, two women’s bikes and the grandson’s almost impossible 16”) on and off. So I looked into the platform style rack and after checking reviews and costs, settled on the Hollywood Sport Rider. What a difference. While I have yet to add the extra 2 bike extension - only had it for a week or so and only used it for two bikes - the rack is easy to use, much more convenient and a better ride for the bikes, plus it was a couple of hundred bucks less expensive than the competition. I see some elements that are better with Thule and perhaps Yakima and maybe even some of the other brands I looked at, but for what I need as a casual rider, this will get me on the bike faster and easier and more often at hundreds of dollars less. Bonus: today I showed my wife how to use it and lo and behold, she took off to meet her sister for a safe, socially distanced ride and conversation together, reloaded and brought it back all in one piece. THAT, my friends, is proof of ease of use. Believe me.

Just got my new rack. Very solidly built. Installed it from the box and loaded our 4 bikes in less than an hour. it is really stable, and has a smart lever design to keep the rack stiffly mounted to the hitch.

I recently tested the HR SE4 with 2 bikes on and it performed as advertised. Both bikes remained stable the entire trip.I wanted to try the platform style to reduce the swaying motion on a hanging style bike rack. The only problem i have is I can't leave it on all the time because it is right next to the car's back up sensor and triggers the alarm.

This is by far the best bike rack I have used. Every bikes stays tight with the velcro straps on the tire and the frame clamp the come down on the center. There barely any rack sway with the special bolt and clamp that got the locking pins on the hitch. Well thought out bike rack. Would buy this rack again. Would definitely recommend this bike rack to everyone.

Best bike rack for the price, maybe heavy though

We bought the rack that accommodates 4 bikes. I highly recommend the rack. It works great and was easy to put together. Customer service was very responsive . Would definitely recommend this company.

We have used the rack a few times now and once you get the wheel holds in place it is very easy to use. I am a petite woman and can load the 2 bike rack with ease, then when needed, I can then add the other part of the rack to make it the 4 bike rack. This was my goal, a functional rack that was easy to use without relying on my husband to do it all for me. Thanks for a great product.

This is a great bike rack at a good price. Very sturdy and easy to use. The one small complaint would be the instructions could have included better visuals, but the supplementary video on the website filled in some of the gaps.
Used it for our first trip/ride yesterday and everything went well.
