Is there an attachment to convert the Destination 2 into a Destination 4?
No, there is not. The Destination 2 is a standalone bike rack. There are no add-on kits available for it.
How heavy is this bike rack?
The Destination 2 only weighs 20lbs!
Do I need a bike adapter for a step-through bike on this bike rack?
No, you do not. This bike rack has 360-degree rotating padded frame holders that can slide up and down which will allow you to attach the frame holder to any part of your bike that it reaches.
Does this bike rack come with a lock?
The Destination 2 comes with a locking hitch pin, however we also offer locking cables that you may use to further secure your bikes and bike rack.
I have to admit that I took a recommendation from a friend, but I could not be happier with this rack. Easy on and off the car, not too heavy and very secure. Also, I can open and close the hatch with the rack on the car (2021 Subaru Forrester) which is a bonus. Additionally, I lost a part and customer service was excellent - very responsive and helpful.
The setup looks easy and the product is compact. It fits my truck very well.
We are recently retired and new to biking. We recently purchased two Townie Electra 7D comfort cruiser bikes. One is a step through and the other is a step over. We did not know anything about bike racks, and after a little research, we narrowed it down easily to the Hollywood Destination 2 rack that fits in our vehicle hitch. The installation was easy and we were easily able to attach our bikes perfectly using the rack wheel and base secure ratchet system. We have already traveled several miles on a short vacation with this rack, and it meets all of our expectations as described. Highly recommend.
I’ve had this same one before, but lost it in the move. Took it on countless roadtrips and never had any issues. I ordered the same one to hold my two mountain bikes. It does hold the weight pretty well for a light bike rack. Both bikes are about 35lbs.
I’m pretty loyal to HW Racks just for the reason that they make quality products and have amazing customer support. FedEx lost my package and HR sent me another. I will forever order my bike racks from them.

This a great light weight bike rack , easy to assemble and easy to mount the bikes on . Folds up for storage and only weighs 20 lbs . We have a Salsa Fargo and Trek Verve 3 step through , which were easy to get loaded . The only item we had to play a little with was pedal placement . Extremely fast delivery , just remember that you have to sign for it upon delivery unless you make prior arrangements with FedEx
We could be more pleased with our new Hollywood Rack ( for 2 standard bikes ). The assembly was very straightforward and easy. Using the step by step instructions to lock each bike's tires into the troughs, lock the frame to the center piece and then strap the two bikes to each other w/ the center piece, had our bikes on the rack in minutes, safe and secure. I can highly endorse this product as our initial drive ( 200 miles ) was flawless.

This rack is lightweight and great value. It's compact but can still carry my Giant Trance 3 XL mountain bike with ease. Simple to set up. Only complaint is that you can't open the hatch with a bike on it, and to adjust it up or down you have to unscrew the cotter pin. But it looks really sleek on my hitch and is not an eye sore. Definitely recommend.

The Destination 2 is exactly what we were looking for. Transports two 30lb gravel bikes on the Interstates for hundreds of miles. Handles service roads and light duty off roads like a champ. Its like it was made for our 24 Bronco Sport.

Sturdy, strong and well made but manageable weight for one female- me - to put on and take off my car hitch! Season is just starting where I live. I look forward to managing travel logistics to our biking locations on my own!!
My first outing with this rack was a week-long road trip along the CA central coast. I never had a problem or concern with the safety of my bikes and the integrity of the rack. Mounted correctly, it's very stable. The straps work decently well too. I was able to loop a cable lock through the rack itself, and around the frames and wheels for assurance. It doesn't have a lean-back feature though. I think for this design, such a capability should be easily implemented.

LED Light Compatibility Issues with some vehicles
Some newer vehicles, including the Ford F-150 with a factory-installed tow package, are not compatible with the LED Bar or other LED trailer lighting systems. This is because the vehicle’s tow package or electrical system has been designed to be used with automotive light bulbs. These light bulbs require more electrical current than LED lights. For these vehicles, the LED Bar will either not function at all or function incorrectly. They may also produce a warning light on your dash that one of your light bulbs is out OR cause your turn signals to flash faster than normal. This is because the vehicle “thinks” there is a bulb out due to the low electrical current of the LED.
These vehicles include:
2016-2023 OEM tow package equipped Ford F-Series trucks, sprinter vans,
Expeditions, Excursions, Explorers, Rangers, Broncos, and Mavericks.
Other vehicles include newer Tesla, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Chevrolet, and GMC with OEM tow packages.
