Sport Rider SE for Cargo Bikes

We used it on our truck but will eventually move it to our motorhome. Our two bikes are 65 plus pounds each so we wanted a this heavy duty rack.

Everything adjusts so it will fit most cargo bike or standard bikes. Easy to put together and install.

This rack transports our e bikes perfectly on both our vehicles. The hitch adaptor is a bonus feature. Takes a little to figure out bike placement but once it's done it's easy to load. We have one step thru bike and can use this rack without a bike adaptor. Again it took some thinking and adjusting of the center hook but it does work. For added security and peace of mind a strap is included for tie down. We use the tilt feature to load the first bike for extra clearance since an e bike is larger than a regular bike. I am a 56 yr old woman (not the best of shape) who can intstall, load and use all the features by myself. That says a lot about the ease of this rack. Determination might play a little role as well.

Easy to assemble and use. Good locking systems, both bike arm and hitch locks - and an additional cable lock! Both fold up (out of the way) and fold out (hatch on my SUV will open and close) options are easy to use. Perfect for my two e-bikes. Thanks!

When you have two cargo bicycles you wanna transport you don’t have a lot of options. Because these were back ordered I started looking for some other options that would have *technically* worked, but were not ideal. I am SO glad I waited for this rack. The quality of construction and thoughtful design are worth the wait. Love this thing!

It’s a great rack! There’s not many racks out there that can handle E bikes because they are heavy. My rack can carry two bikes up to 80 pounds each which is great. Looks good, works good, and I’m happy with it!

Love the ease of use if this rack. It was easy to put together, hauls my rad wagon and another bike, and is sturdy yet compact. So much easier than fooling with ratchet straps on my super long dual dirt bike carrier.

Background: 4 bike riders in my family, 2 cargo bike (50+lbs each), 2 road bikes, 2 mountain bikes. The rack on a Ford F-150 truck. My rack arrived well packaged, box inside a box with foam protecting everything. I followed the steps and assembled it on the hitch in about 20 minutes. I needed a 19mm wrench, but all other tools were included. The long wheel bases of the surly big dummy and xtracycle fit on the rack perfectly, my 9 year old fastens the bike wheel straps. The clamps went into good spots on the frames on the first try. Using the same key for the hitch lock, clamp locks and included cable lock is a huge plus for me.I'm not rich and, with pricey cargo bikes on a rack I was nervous at first, but after several outings, I totally trust the rack! I can see the bikes in my rear view mirror - no swaying or bouncing or anything! Folding the rack up is as expected, easy and tidy. leaving the rack down and folding the ssupport bar down, my tail gate can open fully with no chance of contact with the rack. I leav my rack in the camper shell of my truck not in use. So when it's time to ride, I open my camper and tailgate, pull out the rack (65lbs), hold it in one hand, close the tailgate with the other hand and insert the rack into the hitch. Yes, that's heavy and it would be better to have two people do this, but the fact that I can setup the bikes while the rest of the family gets other stuff ready is plus for me. I will be getting the add on to load my kids' bike as well, instead of loading those into the camper shell.

The Sport Rider SE Is a solid rack. It was easy to assemble and loading bikes is a bit awkward at first but gets much easier after a few trips. We do have a configuration issue as the ratchet hooks that hold the bikes don’t fit our bikes very well. Trying to use adapter Bike cross bars to get to best travel configuration. Overall a quality product that should be perfect with some setup tweaking.

Rad bikes recommended Hollywood Racks. Ordering was simple, and it arrived within 48 hours. I had a question, Hollywood responded professionally and promptly. When received, the quality is outstanding (I was hoping). Very sturdy and well constructed. My tires are wide, and so the velcro straps were a bit tight. I called Hollywood, they answered, immediately said they would send me longer straps, and I received them the next day via FedEx. Really a great experience and product!

Bought the Hollywood Sport Rider SE for cargo bikes. Assembly was easy and fits both bikes perfectly. We took it out for the first time today felt confident that the bikes were secure and no movement. I have had a few other bike racks like Yakima four-timer and the old hanging bike racks, even the rooftop bike racks. I am really impressed with this one and it was easy with two people to load and took some time by myself but doable. This bike rack comes with a hitch pin lock, locking frame per bike and a 8’ locking cable which is awesome. Highly recommend!

I honestly never thought I'd found a rack that could handle our bikes. Although our Packster 80 won't fit (it's 9' long), our other cargo bikes are fine. The weight limit is high enough that we can carry them, the rack is very secure, and I feel 100% confident hauling them around. It's been a life changer since we moved to a really rural area where it's difficult to bike commute on the regular. Being able to take our family bikes into or near town when we need them has been so freeing, and allowed us to continue to have just one car despite living 22 miles from town.

It's also quite simple to adjust appropriately for two bikes. My only complaint is that the wheel holders are a bit tricky to adjust, and often take some wiggling to get into place. On the other hand, the tolerance in manufacturing that makes them so stable is a fair trade off for a little bit of extra time when carrying a different bike for the day.

We learned about Hollywood Racks from the Xtracycle website. We took a chance and ordered the new model of sport rider se for cargo bike. This bike rack is everything it's advertised as. Easily assembled and installed. A well engineered design with seemingly quality components. Our surly big dummy and xtracycle swoop edgerunner fit on our Toyota Rav4 easily. No need to adjust or remove accessories. Both bikes have hoopies and saddle bags with bottom rails. Perfect fit with an inch to spare of being within our rearview mirrors.
We had to buy a tow set of lights for safety as the bikes obscured the taillights.
Otherwise we are completely satisfied. Bikes road with no vibrations or shifting around at highway speeds.

Only wish is that it had an easier way to let down/tilt back the rack fully loaded. It's a heavy rack and especially heavy when loaded. Titling down to open the van hatch works but is tricky.

We have two Rad Power Bikes Radwagons, with Cabooses, front racks, and one Yepp child seat. We tow a travel trailer with a Ford E-350 and gotta bring the Radwagons. Hollywood Racks reiterated you should NEVER put bike rack on back hitch of a camper. They suggested using a front-mount hitch, genious! They also said they had a brand new rack specifically for cargo ebikes. We ordered front-mount hitch from etrailer, and installed the Hollywood Rack. Works very well! The handle bars and Yepp child seat stick up a bit much, could easily tilt handlebars down and remove Yepp seat during transport, but I don’t mind. Was concerned with airflow being blocked from engine compartment, especially since using rack while towing. However, the gap seems sufficient. I had two tranny coolers installed due to towing so much anyhow. Another consideration is that the bikes block a substantial amount of headlights, so I will be installing some auxiliary headlights to be safe. Overall, the front mount hitch with Hollywood cargo ebike rack is the perfect solution for our needs, allowing us to tow our cargo ebikes safely while also towing our travel trailer camper, and can even fit canoes on the roof as well! Velcro straps fastening tires could be a bit longer. Hollywood Rack locking hitch pin is slightly problematic on front-mount hitch setup as NYS front license plate gets in the way of accessing the hitch pin lock, nbd.
